Annual Avaya Conference Recognises Outstanding BusinessPartner Performance in EMEA

COMUNICATO STAMPA

A number of outstanding Avaya channel partners were recognised at the company’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) BusinessPartner event which took place this week in Paris. Over 350 executives from 164 companies attended the event to learn about the company’s vision and strategy for 2008.

This event was a great platform to show our commitment to our channel partners, demonstrating how we are supporting them to build successful and sustainable business relationships. Avaya is leading the way in Intelligent Communications and what we have learned in our journey is that BusinessPartners are vital to our success” said Carlos Sartorius, president EMEA Avaya.
Avaya selected its annual channel conference to reward performance and recognise those companies who did an outstanding job of selling and implementing Avaya solutions across EMEA during 2007.

During the BP conference plenary session, Sartorius presented KocSistem (Turkey) and Resadia Group (France) with Growth Awards for the Enterprise and SMB sectors respectively. Extreme Networks scooped Technology Partner of the Year Award for its advanced data equipment, and Softlab (Germany) received the Applications of the Year Award.
The Distributor of the Year Awards for Enterprise and SMB went to Westcon Convergence and MTV (UK) for the business volume and relationship value reached with Avaya during the year. Long-term Avaya partner and winner of last year’s Enterprise EMEA BusinessPartner of the Year Award, Croc (Russia), was also presented with the System Integrator of the Year Award, while BT (Spain) was named Service Provider of the Year for working closely with Avaya on SI/SP business growth.

The winning BusinessPartners are judged on their performance throughout the year across a number of criteria including: revenue, volume of sales, accreditation, commitment to Avaya and product certification.
At the event Avaya also published the results of its annual partner survey showing improvements in year-on-year satisfaction across 65% of business areas. This follows the changes made to the company’s EMEA BusinessPartner Programme which was specifically designed to meet the needs of the evolving dynamics of today’s channel.
Sartorius continued, “The positive results of the partner satisfaction survey demonstrate that the efforts and commitment we have placed in the channel with the launch of new initiatives such as the BusinessPartner Programme, the new On-Boarding, Dashboard and On-line order to name a few, are starting to pay dividends which can only be beneficial for all parties. On the other hand, we also recognise that there are still some areas of focus where we can further improve, and we are working closely with our BusinessPartners to reach channel excellence“.
